Heligan

Good news from Heligan , this year they are allowing entry to dogs , always on a lead.

Join Thom Hunt on foraging tours over the season.

There are seasonal walks through different parts of the garden with Heligans head gardener.

Bat nights are on 29th July, 2nd Aug, 5th Aug and 9th August

Helegan is , as usual looking fantastic and the gardeners so knowledgeable and happy to rest a while and chat.

The Holly and the Ivy Christmas Shop is now open for the loveliest handmade Christmas decorations and gifts.
Cornish Christmas evenings on 2nd,9th and 16th. Join in the Christmas spirit with FREE entrance to the magical lantern lit Northern Gardens, check out Heligans web site for all the details.

Once again Heligan is opening for charity on Boxing day and on New Years Day.

Looe

The town of Looe offers everything people of all ages on holiday could possibly want.  There are shops selling clothing, curios and gifts, also buckets and spades and saucy postcards.

Glass bottomed boats  to take you around Looe Island,  fishing boats to take you out on trips to fish for Mackerel , Conger eels and Sharks   .

Looe has a fab beach , safe swimming and a great beach cafe.

Great places to eat including restaurants, pubs ,cafes and the best fish and chip shop for miles.

The branch line railway runs from Liskeard mainline station down through the beautiful Looe Valley, down into  East Looe.

Welcome to the Vine Cottage B & B blog.

This is our blog  so please pop back soon to read more about Vine Cottage and the beautiful area of Cornwall we live in.

Well here we are again at the start of the new season, we are all really well. Ash is away at the moment and will be around later in the year.on holiday at

All the rooms have had new carpets and looking good.

The dogs are well, I haven’t told them that we will have dogs staying this season.

The chickens are in full production now and the new ones have settled in well and loving their new house.

The garden is slowly getting done, with all the rain last year , there’s such a lot to do, went to Boconnac Garden show, Mum and me, we had a lovely day out and brought back loads of goodies. Growing tomatoes and peppers indoors this year so watch this space.
